Male bluethroat
Just can't get enough bluethroat at the moment. Almost eating out of my hand. Great fun to be this close to a beautiful male bluethroat.

Uitstekend Edwin

It looks almost Delft like in it's capture, those legs!!! Just wonder if I would like to see all of the reed to the rhs?

I know what you mean Stephen but the bird is just to close.

Great shot Edwin, but I find the depth of field very strange as you have the legs out of focus but most of the reeds are in focus.

It is a good shot of a bird I have never seen but have to agree with Liam about the legs they do not look in focus to me,the head part looks very sharp.

Hi guys,

Understand your questions about the DOF. The bird is within 2 meters from me so DOF is quite narrow. To get the legs in focus I think I'll need f/9 or f/11. Could give it a go when the light is right to do so.

cheers,

Ed

Fabulous, wish I could get that close to one when I visit France. The detail on the head is superb, :toast:

Superb Edwin,

One day I will get to your country and see this beautiful bird with my own eyes.
Fabulously sharp eye on the bird.

Cheers

Hi Edwin it looks great to me ,don't think i would worry to much about the feet the rest certainly makes up for this very minor nit.
