I have layer that is mostly masked. I want see if the little sections I want revealed have been completely unmasked or not. I can't make out that kind of detail on the layer mask thumbnail. How to do I enlarge it?

Pete, on a PC you hold "alt" and click on the thumbnail. I'd imagine on a Mac it's option-click or command-click.

Thanks David. That is exactly what I wanted. I thought I tried all possible ctrl/alt/shift choices clicking here and there, but apparently I didn't. (I'm using Windows, by the way).

Yes, option on a Mac.

btw, if you first select the mask as David suggested with "alt + layer mask thumbnail", you will get the layer mask in black and white. If you then "shift + actual layer thumbnail" you will get the mask as a quick mask, (see through). In some cases that's a lot easier to edit the mask that way.

Be sure to click back on the layer mask after "shift + actual layer thumbnail" to get back to edit mode. You can't use the view option to enlarge it further, but if you have a zoom button on your keyboard, that works just fine for even closer work.
