Just a hint of nature remains around the frame of this old church window opening. One of the Central Oregon images I took with Mike and Rick late last year. I've been working on a theme around cathedral style windows lately, and wanted to work on this one a little. The image is cropped on all four sides in an effort to correct for lens distortion. As a consequence, the top of the opening is cropped slightly as well. The image was also rotated about .2 degrees to give it a straighter appearance. The exterior is a stark white in contrast to the dark, weathered interior of the building - so I exploited that element in adding a soft diffusion, conversion to B&W with green filtration and white vignetting. Does it work? I'm not sure myself, but it was sort of fun to work with.

Ned,
Overall, I like the soft feeling here...but I wish the top wasnt chopped. I also don't think the interior of the church adds much. The vegetation is a great addtion to the comp though.
