Red Fox
After a disasterous two days on mink I went out on a tip off .After an hour wait that tip off proved to be a right off too....Ho hum
Armed with half a tin of pilchards, a half tin of dog food and some mixer I gambled ...
A red fox, one of three that eventually turned up .As I spoke to Andy Snape who rang my mobile, the third turned up ,I was lobbing bits of bread to him whilst trying to take pictures ....'telling' him now was not a good time ...Sorry mate...
I'll be after that mink again tomorrow.
Techs
D3 /500mm f4
ISO 1000, F4.5 , 1/200th
CR pp CS3
All c/c's welcome
thanking you in advance

That's some strange appetite you've got there Mark. Prefer a marmite sandwich myself when out and about, but each to their own.

Good one, I like the way the fox is peering over the out of focus foreground.

I'd be more than happy with that one mate, think they say you've paid your time for that one!!

Aha! Mr Fox. So this is what you meant when you had to dash.

'As I spoke to Andy Snape who rang my mobile' - and I got an email LOL

Seriously, well done Mark, under those circumstances & tech's you have done well. BTW I understand they like Peanut butter too, not sure if it's the crunchy one or smooth  If you want to persist with this, Dave Courtenay is your guy to ask.

Nick Fox, If you have Otters around (and you probably do) try for your mink in the middle of the day 12 - 4. Looks like they have changed their behaviour to avoid the Otters.

If you were a woman Mark, you could have done all of that food lobbing, phone call , shutter releasing etc and still managed to put some lipstick on at the same time....

You deserve to get the Mink tomorrow.

Cheers

Austin

Great eye contact! I like the mush although I feel it would have been even stronger with the camera raised maybe a few inches.

Mush... like it loads, but do agree with Ian... but you are forgiven, after all you were trying to multitask

Nice one Mate :toast:

Maybe getting the camera a bit higher might have improved it but still excellent

lovely image inclined to agree about the camera slightly higher but still very good

Very close to having too much mush for me, but I reckon that the nice clear eye contact makes the shot. Although I would be happy to have this on my hard drive, I must say it looks a bit flat and soft to me, but as no-one else has mentioned it , it might just be my dodgy eyes.
Whatever it is still an excellent capture.
