Stick or twist ?
This amused me; one site I use seems to have at least four foxes, plus hundreds of rabbits. As the foxes pass through, the rabbits do the Meer cat thing. Surprisingly, at least to me, they seldom run but wait and see, if they do run they all run at the same time, I guess to confuse the fox.

a very effective image, a moment well captured. Presumably the rabbit got away?

You've captured a great moment. I presume the rabbit got away safely.

A fine capture ,,,the alert pose of the rabbit is a cracker .A rabbits eye view of an impending chase tells the story.

I would love an image like this-tells the whole story, A bit more separation between the fox and rabbit would be nice but great as is

Love the eye contact and interaction between the hunter and hunted.
Only nit is that I feel there has been some cloning work and blurring in the grass in the f/g. But overall a very nice image.

A tense moment, for the rabbit, perfectly captured.

An unusual image to capture Bob. Like this very much. I'm scared to ask what happened next

This is not “A Question of Sport” you know, with their “What Happened Next” competition but thanks all for asking ,well nothing happened. The fox moved off to the left in search, I believe of earth worms , he did a lot of scrapping and scratching and the rabbit went back to nibbling grass. The fox you may have noticed has no tail, he must have lost it recently as there is a rather nasty wound where it once was.
Thanks for looking.

Great behavioural shot Bob. I have had this shot in mind ever since I got my first camera and never been in a position to get it. In an ideal world a bit of seperation would have been a real bonus, but you just can't plan for that can you? Well done for getting that shot, it is so easy to screw up a fleeting opportunity. I have always wondered whether I would focus on the hunter or the hunted in this situation, a real dilemma. Neither option would be wrong but each would tell a different story. Top result.

Hello Bob.

Great opportunity and captured really well.

I had a chance like this earlier this year with a fox and Magpie, and I thought the Magpie was a gonna as the fox sneaked right up behind it and could easly have taken it. At the point where he/she could have taken the Magpie it just picked it head up and walked straight passed it.

For some reason I still have not got round to processing the image, I shall have to try and find it know.

Thanks for posting.

Great behavioural capture, Bob. I like them both, but the first has more impact and your title sums it up nicely.
