Frozen Marsh
When looking through some scans today I came across this one from winter 08 when I was in LaCrosse, WI for several weeks.

As we move from spring to summer in Texas, I cannot help but think about winter.......

Hey, what gives the Center States Forum gets wildflowers and we get frozen marsh? Reminds us that below the snow there is life and beauty waiting to be exposed.

I love the desolate beauty in this Darren, the stark environment is a wonderful contrast to the green world of spring we are experiencing now !!

Kendall, it seems work only needs me to travel to Wisconsin in the colder months. So I have alot more Wisconsin in the winter. The one time they sent me in May it was just for 3 days, not 3 months.....

Ok, just since you felt cheated, here is one from last spring near West Salem.

Thanks Darren. I like all of your photos. I have to make a trip to TX every July and all the lovely Spring flowers are gone.

And I was just getting used to the idea of spring. The lavender tones really make this image for me, Darren.

Don't think I'm ready for winter yet. Probably in another month.

Seasons are all relative to where you live. I suppose the long cold Wisconsin winter gets old. Here the long hot summer gets old. I prefer the September to May timeframe here in Texas. June-Aug is too green and too hot. So since we are about at the "end" of the nice weather season, I am already looking foward to September and even winter......
