Who says it's Spring? w/repost
The gate at Many Parks curve in RMNP was open this morning, so I drove up to Rainbow curve. It was like the Arctic tundra up there. On the way back down, I came across this scene. What is not conveyed here is the howling wind and white-out conditions. It was as bad and cold as anything I encountered this past winter.

Still pretty frigid looking. Great color!

I brightened up this repost. It shows off the blowing snow a little better.

If you say so, but I get chills just looking at!
Quite a dramatic shot you got here, Paul. Excellent color contrast and sense of depth (and cold !). This looks well worth the misery you suffered.

I love this shot! And yes, it does quite an effective job conveying the cold and wind. But that nice orange ball counters it nicely.

Great work. Ya, I think someone forgot to tell mother nature that's it spring in Colorado. It's been so cold here this year.

Brrrr. Those clouds really helped minimize the flare of looking toward the sun and picked up a lot of color.

Really like the color!

Nice glow Paul. Time to build a fire.

Excellent job Paul! I drove to the park entrance this morning and turned around as it was simply a wall of clouds over the peaks and blue sky everywhere else. Wish I would have followed you!

Excellent job! Way to brave the elements in the name of photography.

You scored big time! Congratulations on not letting the weather dictate what to do.
