Adder ( Male )
One from todays foray into adder country

He was basking in the sun when it came out every so often.

I like the way the light coloured bracken frames the adder. The snakes darker colour allows him to stand out particularly well. :toast:

Great focus on the eye Ian and I might be tempted to crop even tighter.

Cheers

A fine capture .Bottom right highs pull a touch but easily fixed.

Now why does this chap look familiar? Nicely captured Ian. Like the OOF foreground. :wavey:

Very nice image. I like the natural framing of the adder very much.

Nits covered and looks like you and Maggie made the most of the same little chap. Note the distinctive 'tear drop' shape on the back of the head which is like a fingerprint to each animal as are the scale patterns in that general area.. Like the inclusion of the environment.

A nice encounter, captured well. He looks great and is in pristine condition post ecdysis.

I'd maybe darken the highlights a little but a nice shot. The snake's markings stand out very well.

He does look strangely familiar having looked at Maggie's shot first. Nice capture of a male adder in a typical basking spot.

Hello Ian.

Darken those bright areas at the bottom and I tink this is a really good enviroment shot.

Really like this.

Love the framing Ian and a nice pose unless you happen to be 6 inches in front of him

Great pose and the inclusion of the habitat as a frame works really well. :toast:
