Iconography
I can't help myself, almost every time I go to the Eastern Sierra I end up in a field with Mt. Whitney in the background many times at Sunrise or Sunset. This time the peaks were being coy, but after the sun sank below the Sierra front a bright beam shot in front of the face coloring the misty clouds briefly. It always is different I guess that's what keeps me coming back, the many moods of the iconograph Mt. Whitney. Nikon D300 -1 ISO and -1 stop exposure

I never tire of the Alabama Hills and viewing Mt. Whitney.
I like the color and mood in this image.

One of my favorite places and I stop there a lot on my way to and from Mammoth. Great Whitney shot, even though you can't actually see Whitney. The light on the clouds is really nice.
