Which is just as well as I couldn't get it in. It was far too close.
I got this shot on the same morning as my recent hare post. The sun caught him just right as it climbed above the hedge, so I took the portrait option.

They are beautiful birds, and this portrait brings out the best of those beautiful colours.

Hey Eric, some good stuff coming out these days, like it!!!
The detail is a given on this Eric, wonder if a tighter crop might enhance everything though?

Very nice looking bird, I find they are either too close or too far away with their back to you. The clean background really suits this portrait

Majestic! Even the background has flare about it. I'd love to have taken this.

Nice close up Eric, though the colours look a tad too saturated on my screen.

Very nice , we pass these on our way to photograph this or that without a thought , its just a common phesant, in fact they can be majestic.
