As named by Phil lol. I spotted this little one at Elmley Marshes on Monday and we spent quite sometime watching and observing the general movements of the Lapwings and their chicks.
This little one appeared to be an only chick. As soon as the rain decided to come down, it made a beeline for Mum, and sheltered under her wing until the weather improved. Once the rain had stopped, it scurried out from its safehaven, and flapped it's under developed wings, and carried on with it's business of searching for worms. Rather cute methinks, and I couldn't resist posting....

Pee Wee looking good.... great pose from the little one and I like the setting which shows how small and vunerable they are, the water drops adds too, I know the lighting was difficult and you have coped well but I do feel that a touch more black would help...
'As soon as the rain decided to come down, it made a beeline for Mum, and sheltered under her wing until the weather improved.' I assume you are referring to the chick & not Phil
Would agree with Phil about a tad more perhaps in Curves just to give it a bit more punch & definition hopefully. Glad you ID this as I have a shot similar & thought it might have been something else A nice setting too.
LOL @ Steve, yes I was referring to the chick and not Phil. I do agree with the comments about the curves, didn't see it until after posting . Thank you..
