Des, that is a stunner. The large version is fantastic. I love the way the light is picking out the bird while the rest are in shadows and the view down the cliff is very dramatic. The nesting material in the beak is the icing on the cake. Great work.

Has got to be one of the finest Gannet images I have seen for a long time... the included OOF habitat with all the activity of the other birds just takes this to the top....

(Its also an image I know I would not be able to get due to vertigo)

Really like the thinking behind the shot Des, the inclusion of nesting material within the Gannet bill was well seen & executed as per Matts comment. Just trying to work out how the light worked.

Is the next shot whilst bungee jumping?

Hi Steve, light coming from 5 o'clock, but we're on the outer cliff shooting inwards. The top of the cliff is lit but the lower part isn't.

Superb shot Des. Keep coming back to this one and it keeps getting better. The detail and business in the background is amazing but strangely doesn't overpower the gannet in the foreground. It seems to dissapear when viewing the gannet. Cant fault this image. Great atmosphere. :toast: :toast:
