GREEN
Sick of snow?

Here's a little eastern Washington from this past weekend - a couple snaps I grabbed during a scouting trip for an upcoming trip. The Palouse area - pure eye candy during spring.

Back to regularly scheduled wind/snow in the Rockies ...

Take two ...

Simple, but effective! I like the first one cause there's more GREEN...

Great stuff Jesse. I like #1 as well, and would consider a tighter crop, but keep that beautiful green! Well done.

I was thinking of hitting the Palouse in a couple weeks when I'm up that way. Spring looks to be a wonderful time with all the greenery and rolling hills. Thanks for sharing!

Take 1 all the way!
What a gorgeous image!! The play of light on the wheat fields is awesome. Love that lone tree there, too.
Sounds like your scouting trip was a success. I've never been there before, so I look forward to seeing more of your work from that area.

WOW! I have been looking for fields like that around here for several years now. I love the green.

Here's a snapshot from Steptoe Butte .... for a little context. With the wheat, or whatever it is, just coming in - it was like a massive, rolling putting green in places. Definitely a worthy destination.

Great shots Jesse! I prefer #1 because of the play of light on the field and also the cloud patterns and colors are a bit more interesting on #1.
Posted by Dave Showalter` on May 4, 2010 at 4:51 PM
Damn! That first one is sweet and the "snapshot" from Stetoe is insane.
Posted by Brian Jackson on May 4, 2010 at 4:55 PM
First one is amazing. Well done!

Love the first one. The second seems a little unbalanced to my eye. A simple, beautiful scene. Well captured, processed, and presented. Looking forward to more.

That sure is a wide fairway. I think I could hit it even.

I prefer #1 with more green undulations. Maybe crop right below the gray clouds and a little off the right to accentuate the prominent tree on the horizon?

Posted by Bill Pelzmann on May 4, 2010 at 5:34 PM
I love how the light brings out the undulations. Looking forward to more from the next trip.

They both work for me! I like the green in #1 and the expanse in #2. I can't wait to see your take on the Palouse.

Killer stuff, Jesse! I'm with Morris, I can't wait to see what you come away with from there.

Wow, that "snapshot" is sweet. I also like #1. Looks like things will be even more colorful there soon.

Love every single one of them.. I wanna be there!

Classic Speer style here... love the simplicity. I'm digging the first one because of the more green.

Number 1 is gorgeous, plain and simple, and sooooo greeeeeen! I also really liked the Steptoe Butte shot with all the cloud shadows helping to really add depth to the shot! Were there any paragliders there? When I visited there a number of years ago, I ended up taking paraglider shots instead of landscape shots, it wasn't a great landscape day weather-wise anyway.

stunning classic spring shot - I prefer the comp of #1. Take me there, Jesse!

Wow! Number 1 all the way!

You might want to call Bill Gates on this one..it would make an awesome Windows wallpaper. I don't mean that in a bad way..it is an amazing capture and I could see this in a number of different settings.

Man that is one beautiful capture! Like the first one the most as well. Can't wait to see more of your take on this area.

Oh Mama, I love #1. The color and light are wonderful. Looks like Tuscany.

DOH! I've always loved that area of Washington state but never stopped for the photography. Time for a road trip home (well, maybe next year this time).

Thanks for sharing. :toast:

ooohhh! Great images! Exactly why I want to get up there someday. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. Let's see more!

Beautiful shots, I would like to see more of the green in the composition though. It definitely makes me want to visit the area.
