Gulf Oil spill - bird rescue place needs help
Cindy Mead mentionned Tri-State Bird Rescue in a post this week.
They have been asked to oversee the Wildlife Rehab regarding the unfolding Gulf Oil Spill disaster.

I'd like to strongly encourage NPN members to help with donations.
Every possible donation, large or small, is essential.

Please take a look at their website, and view the video to see what miracles they accomplish with oil-covered and oil-sickened birds and other wildlife. Please help, if you can.

Thanks Sandy. This looks to be a worthwhile cause and will hopefully make a huge difference to some of the wildlife. I heard that Dawn dishsoap was making a $1 donation per bottle sold to rehab efforts.

Yes, they also sent a couple hundred cases of Dawn to the rehab place.
I don't know what is special about DAWN, but it is the best "soap" to clean up birds and wildlife, without causing other injuries.

We used it at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum here in Walnut Creek, CA when I was a volunteer rehabber a few years ago.
