If anyone is waterfowl watching/photographing inclined, I noticed a large variety of not mallards or ducks at Crown Hill Lake park in Lakewood yesterday. The majority were Common Mergansers, but it looked like there were other birds mixed in as well. The park is at 26th and Kipling.

I'm not much of a wildlife shooter, but use the clear creek trail between Wadsworth and Youngsfield. I've see a lot more ducks in the creek just recently. In other years, there are often wood ducks through this area. Also noticed some shovelers and scaup on the prospect park ponds.
