Its All In The Look -Tiger
Photo of a female Tiger which is called T39,It was taken during one of my morning safaris. There was a few alarm calls going off that told us a Tiger was about, nothing can perpare you for the noise and the atmosphere created by these calls,as you sit and wait for a bref clue to where the Tiger is.I stood almost onto of the jeep looking around and we spotted this female cleaning, licking her massive paws,I used manual focus, because of the dense vegetation and used the OOF tree trunk to the left of the Tiger to frame her with,as a few rays of light came through the tree canopy just lighting her beautiful face up as I captured this look you don't want to see if the Tiger was closer   Really happy with the image which is a little different from the many thousands I got from my brilliant trip

All Comments And Advice Welcome

I think you need to crop a lot of space off the top of this, then that brilliant stare really will contain some menace.

like this a lot Craig, very strong, conveys a sense of how powerful these creatures are. The only thing I'd change, is the green leaf top right, small nit, does not detract from a super image though

cheers

Craig, I like the shot. Perhaps against the grain here but I think you've got it about right in the original. Do you have some with it even smaller in the frame? It's nice to see a bit of habita sometimes. I think the gaze and colour is strong enough to hold the viewers' attention even if it's smaller.

Great shot Craig, what a shame such a magnificent beast is called T39.

I like the second post and I might be tempted crop right into the face for the fantastic stare

Thank you for the comments gents,Dale the numbering is to help the Tiger in not getting to well known by name, the last named Tiger was the one in my pervious post 'Machali' ,after her they decided on this way, which I agree with you does seem a little harsh but its to protect the Tigers, thanks again to those who commented, another high viewing verse comments  :wavey:

Thats one mean stare Craig

Prefer the larger version but would get rid of the one green leaf as it distracts attention from the face. :toast:

Prefer the repost which gives the image a better balance - great eye contact!
