The kids and I needed a run thru the woods. We went out west of Cheyenne to Vedauwoo. They like to climb and run. They humor me with the Photography :)

As always take a peek and suggestions are always welcome.

Man, that's one beautiful tree, and you had some great skies.
My advice would have been to back up a bit so the right side of the tree wasn't clipped, and to perhaps have gotten prone on the ground so that more (most?) of the tree would have been silhouetted against the sky.

Thank you for your kind words via email. I truly appreciate it!
The link to your blog is broken, and the Gallery link leads to a blank page at NPN. :frown:

Great lines in the tree! A lot of character and history with that one. Ditto what John said.

Lynn, pretty nice comp here with the shape of that tree. I would watch your edges like John said, and I would consider bringing down the highlights and bring up the shadows. You can do this in many different ways like using highlight/shadow layer, dodging and burning or use some masking techniques from Tony Kuyper. Clouds look nice to.

Really like that first BW tree. Very dramatic!
