Well caught Dale. The composition is a bit central. However, I cannot honestly say what would be the best crop. Perhaps a bit off the left of the frame. Without the information given it isn't immediately obvious to me that it is hovering as the bird isn't looking downwards. If it had been then a more portrait crop would have suited it better I feel. A great flight capture nonetheless.

Great Capture but agree with Robert in that it is too central. But hey I have never got even that close to one and would love if that shot was mine.

Great shot! Nice eye contact, detail and colour. I agree that the crop doesn't feel quite right saomehow.

I agree with the above comments regarding a crop for a stronger composition. The bird itself is great though.

Lovely, just a bit too central compositionally.

I agree with Robert, A portrait crop with the bird in the top third would emphasise that its hovering rather than flying left to right IMHO.
The bird itself and the background are top notch. Must have been a pretty sunny day looking at the techs.
A lovely shot indeed.

Stunning shot Dale. All the cropping options are open to you anyway. It's a beauty.

The question of how to crop this is one I would love to have. Fantastic capture of the bird.
