Yellow Wagtail
Was out looking for Cuckoo's when this guy came along.....
Nikon D300
Nikon 300mm f2.8 +1.7TC
640th sec
640 iso
f7.1
HH laying flat in sheep s***
full frame
Found this shot tricky to process as the yellows blow out very quickly! and despite the profile being converted to srgb the image is looking desaturated on this site.

Looks OK to me.
The low POV has removed the legs which is a shame but can,t be helped in grass.

Very nice indeed. Colours look great to me despite the change you mention regarding the de-saturation.
Love the low, intimate shooting angle.

This is lovely, excellent PoV and you've left room for "vitual legs" in the frame; works perfectly for me, the OoF green BG could do with a pass of NR perhaps, but thats just a minor nit that's easily put right!

Works for me. They're stunning birds and you've captured that well.

Very nice Tony. A bird I'd like to get to grips with and I'd be very happy if this were the result.

I would love to see one of these Nice shot and if you can get a cuckoo to come as close then you really will be lucky.

A big in the frame for my taste, but then I have never managed to get close enough to have that problem!

Wonderful colours :toast:

Hi Tony

great shot with a nice low POV maybe a bit big in frame and could do with a little more room on the RHS.

Spot on for me.. Great bit of NH photography and ticks all the boxes. Can't decide about extra space on the RHS since i like it as it is anyway..

Like the POV Tony. Colours look good. Think I agree with Ian re a little more room on RHS but still looks good as it is. Got loads of Grey Wags but never managed a Yellow Wag yet. Well caught. :wavey: :jump:
