Large Red
I think. First Damsel of the year caught today. Not the best setting but was delighted to see it. Only could find the one but looking forward to seeing more Damsels and Dragons as the season progresses.

Hi Maggie,
I like the red on the green,
a pity that the wings are not fully sharp. :frown:
have fun, Bertl

Wow Maggie this is an early one! A decent image, but could do with cloning out the debris on the leaf IMO.
Regards,
Paul. :wavey:

I think you would always have issues wit having a damsel fully sharp with the body not parallel to the film plane. Still a nice image

Not always easy to get parallel to insects, what with vegetation, shadows and things getting in the way.Nearly there but still a good image.

Nice focus on where it counts.Well spotted. The debris is part of the scene, so kudos for leaving it, in the interests of authenticity.
