Spoiled
OK, I'm getting a bit tired of bluethroat. No, not the bluethroat itself but just tired of taking pictures of bluethroats. It has been a six weeks project. Now working on my new love...the female reed bunting.

iso 200 1/100 sec. f/6.3 Nikon D3 and Nikon 200-400/4 full frame.

Hi Edwin, love the setting & BG, but being really picky here, the detail, clarity and definition is not quite to your normal standard IMHO. Normally we would see a lot more.

I know I will be again in the minority, but I know you know where I am coming from Edwin.

I wish I was tired of taking pictures of bluethroats. I think Steve may be right, the detail and definition are not quite up to your usual very high standard. However, as the lighting and composition are superb, I still think it a great shot.

Very nice shot Edwin :toast:

Lighting and comp great but not as much detail in the subject as we have come to expect from you.

You should set low standards like me, then there is less to live up to

Hi Ed , can't beat fickle . Wish I had that dilemna . The image looks fine, a damp bird perhaps? Corking BG, comp works fine , and the prop on the money too...

Hi Edwin,

"Tired of Bluethroats". That is rubbing it in for those less fortunate individuals !!

This one is very pictorial and the BKGR is superb.

it must be my eyes, but the definition and detail look great to me. The composition and colours are lovely.

An excellent image on a most attractive perch.
No problem with image quality whatsoever, it looks sharp, detailed and colourful, at least as much as you would expect from a tiny, highly compressed jpeg.
