lightroom 1 with newer RAW format

I decided I should really try working with lightroom again, but my version is not the currrent one. I did go out and update it to v.1.4.1 or some such nonsense, but it still won't load RAW files from my D300s.

You will have to update to Lightroom 2.7 to be able to open the files from your D300s. Alternatively, download the latest Adobe DNG Converter, convert your NEF files to DNG, then open in Lightroom 1. If you're going to use Lightroom, though, it would be best to update.

Don't upgrade to 2.7. 3 will be out in June.

You can also download version 2 for a 30 day free trial and replace it with ver 3 when it is released.

June! Crap - I just ordered LR 2. Maybe I'll get a free upgrade - or am I dreaming?
