Since I said I would post on here more often, here we go.
Shot this on my birthday this last Sunday. Yup, I am forty. I was hoping to post something from Yosemite, but I didn't make the trip because I was a bit under the weather. Oh, well, I was hoping that this sunset would make things even.
Canon 5Dmk2/Zeiss 21mm. Two exposure blend to get the highlights under control and avoid filter flare from shooting into the sun with a gnd filter.
Welcome to the 40 &Over club. There sure are some interesting rocks to anchor the foreground in your La Jolla Sunsets. Wonderful light both here and your ESS post.
We missed you in Yosemite and it was great. Not really. It was a very fun trip. We were a bit early for the dogs and extremely crowded on Sat, but it is always great to be in Yosemite. Too bad you could not make it.
Nice birthday image, but not my favorite of yours from this beach. Still nice to get out and shoot on the big 40 (you young pup).

Beautiful seascape. I like the interesting shapes in the foreground rock and the surf and rocks tie in to the great background sky nicely.
Too bad you couldn't make Yosemite... it was EPIC! (Well, not really, but just trying to rub it in.)
