Giant Clouds
The weather report for Steamboat today was rain/snow and a high in the 30-40's and as I awoke this morning I could see from my bedroom window the system moving in over the local landmark Sleeping Giant---before it got really dreary and ugly. Not much color, so I thought a b&w image might be better.

The clouds against the profile of the sleeping giant are great! This is a really nice composition.

Awesome shot, Rod. It must really suck living in paradise. If I were to tweak this, I'd make the blacks a little blacker and the whites a little whiter, but not adjust either in such a way as to alter the midtones.

I always wondered what this mtn was called. I like this image, Rod. The spotlighting is really nice.

Love the dramatic clouds in this Rod. I agree with Todd's take on the tones

Lends itself well to B&W- good job Rod. Heading your way tomorrow. Maybe Rabbit ears will have some photo ops after the recent snow.

I like the conversion as well and the repost. This has nice light and drama. Good work, Rod.
