Chase County Falls
Last weekend I took a road trip down through the Flint Hills with a couple of friends. One of the places we stopped at was the waterfalls at the Chase County state fishing lake. It was a bit earlier in the day than I would normally be out, but I thought this turned out ok. This is a 3 exposure blend put together with photomatix.

C&C welcome, thanks!

Some other shots from this little adventure are on my blog at:

It looks like a fun trip. I can't believe how low the water is for this time of year. but it is interesting to see all the moss on the rocks that are sometimes submerged. A few days and some rain makes a big difference. (see my post above)

I will have to try Photomatrix sometime. I have fairly good luck with blending in Photoshop using a few different techniques.

I stopped here a couple weeks ago. Looks like the flow has slowed down even more since then. I really like your composition, with all the different "stairsteps" so well seen. Did you get your feet wet to get this angle?

Nice photo, Scott. You are a master at blending.

Heck, Arkansas doesn't have much on Kansas's waterfalls..... [grins]
