Gull ID ????????????
I came across this gull with an injury. After calling the wildlife rescue I took a few so so pictures. I was interested in the id for this bird. Interestingly while waiting for the wildlife person a clapper rail crossed the parking lot in front of me. Happy to report the rescue person felt the gull might not have anything cage rest would not fix.

From looking in Peterson's gull book my guess is an "Adult Breeding Bonaparte's Gull" He seems a little miss placed but in good hand none the less!

Your ID is correct. I spent much of the day photographing this species. Your bird should be a lot further north; perhaps the injury prevented him from migrating?
