Barn Swallow
Hi
Went to Nayanquing Point last Sunday. It was kind of windy, but at least the sun was out on a weekend day for a change. I went looking for Yellow-headed Blackbirds, but didn't see any. There were plenty of Tree Swallows, a few Barn Swallows. I took this not to far from the parking lot as they were nesting under the small observation deck. He was waving back and forth in the wind hanging on to the cattail. Thanks in advance for any comments and suggestions.

Nice perch and lighting. I like the spread feather and blurred bg. I would crop some off the right though.

Like the pose. I have a few cattails I go by every day can't get anything to set still long enough to shoot.

Nice shot. I like the pose. I'm undecided about the line on the right side. On the one hand it is a little distracting on the other it helps give the photo a sense of place.

This is an interesting shot. Well seen and well executed! The bird is caught still and the BG gives a sense of motion. In reality, though, the opposite is the norm - the swallow is usually in perpetual motion while the marsh is motionless for the most part.

My personal preference would be to fade the distracting reed into the BG. Very nice feathery pose and perch!

Very nicely executed; I really like how the bright background contrasts with the dark body of the bird.
