Hunting Tiger
This image is of a male Tiger (T38) hunting a Spotted Deer it had seen in a clearing in the forest.I watched this fully-grown, beautiful animal move through the forest with such grace, eyes fixed onto its target with a few rays of sunlight breaking through the tree canopy highlighting its beautiful face and eye.He Took on the characteristics of a common cat we see stalking a bird on the lawn. One of the best things I have ever seen within nature   The image was taken from a jeep, where my guide and myself had lay in wait on the outskirts of this dense forest from dawn with my 600 lens in one of the natural clearings into this dense forest.Almost three hours then this beautiful moment with my heartrate going from 70 beats a minture to around 180!! a beautiful wild Tiger showing me a special moment I was so,so lucky to have seen let alone photograph

Very envious indeed. !
I do mine in the West Mids Safari Park! Much cheaper. !
PS Are you sure the exif info is correct ? 2000 second ?
I shoot my pool stuff in dark conditions at 80th at f8 on 800 iso roughly.
Cheers

Yes that was the setting,in hindsight I should have lowered the ISO,but because I'd been there from dawn, when the light was poor I forgot to lower to 400 ,there was sunlight, then shaded areas with the light just catching the Eye,I used F5.6 because it was so dense and I wanted just the eye/face in focus, with my lens in one of the few, less dense spots if that makes sense John? :wavey:

Great to read your blog about your India trip,
I love the light on the head that makes the impression
of the eye so vivid. Superb :toast: :toast:

The Autumn leaves really make this Craig, I like the way you can see the patches light on the leaves giving the impression of the forrest .
