Yellowhammer
I hope my ID is correct a grab shot from the car using the rear nearside window having spotted this fella sitting on a fence post as we passed by. Kent / Sussex near Dungeness

With grass and then a field of rape seed in the back ground I wanted to try and use the vast colour change but failed the shooting point was just too high.

I have also cropped to position the bird.

1D3 800mm AE 1/45sec f/16

Advice Critique Comments most welcome.
Thanks for looking

Tis a Yellow Wagtail Barry.

Looks a tad noisy, and shame about the yellow stripe across the top - nice pose and head turn.

Lovely little birds though aren't they :wavey:

Hi Barry.
ID prob sorted, nice pose with the birds head turned. It's interesting to find so many of these birds around Rape fields i wonder if it's insects on the flowers or the Yellow bird blending into it's surroundings,we have lot's of these birds around Rape fields in my part of Lincolnshire.
Nice shot.

Slight nits aside it's a good capture Barry, it's a bird I've yet to photograph so congrats on the capture.
