Bleeding Hearts
Took a stroll along the John Wayne/Iron Horse Trail near Rattlesnake Lake, WA last weekend, then took a side trail up to Cedar Butte. Another hiker coming down said the view from the butte was of a massive clear cut and a gravel pit so I didn't go all the way up, but the trail was littered with Trillium, Bleeding Heart and Wild Geranium so I spent some time with the wild flowers. It was a little breezy but I managed to get a couple OK shots (IMO) between blows. Here's the best of the Bleeding Hearts that day. I also posted a shot of a Wild Geranium in the Flora Gallery. Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.

Excellent capture Bruce... I love the color and comp with the curved stem, great OOF BG as well!

Bruce, this is sensational. Excellent color and positioning in the frame. A very minor nit is the color in the upper right corner. You could crop or clone it out very easily. I'd love to see this as a big print.

Nice detail. The color of the heart bleeds beautifully.

I hear you, I'm going to fix the URC, and maybe remove a little of the darkness on the left edge.
Thanks a bunch.
