Very nice Jeff :toast:

Might take a bit more sharpening around the face

It must have been a thrill to be so close to this, and you have done well in what must have been short window of opportunity. The dew droplets on the grass really convey the early hour...

There must be a lot of pictures of foxes out there in the libraries etc. This is better than any I have, but to compete with the best I suspect it would need:

Sharper focus on eyes & head
Warmer lighting (light looks flat to me)
No grass stems covering parts of the face

All the best

Ben

I can't add much to what Ben has suggested, Is it a big crop? because it seems to lack detail as well to me.

Hi Jeff,

Its all been said really, but I'm afraid I dont feel more sharpening will help, the face doesn't seem to be quite in focus.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Lewis has hit the nail on the head Jeff, the point of focus is in front of the fox and so sharpening is not going to help much. A shame as it is a nice image.
