Giant Bush Lupine on Whitney Portal Road
The Bush lupine have made their yearly appearance just below Lone Pine Creek campground on the North side of the road. I made these images standing up! Not crouching down to make them appear taller. These flowers are fully over 5 feet tall. Saturday morning 5/15 it was almost calm unusual in the Owens Valley. Olympus E-500 ISO 100 F/14 1/200
14/55 mm lens.

I wanted to share the amazing spring in the E. Sierra.

Thanks for sharing, Paul. I still hope to get over that way to
capture some spring flora color. This is beautiful--near to far.
