Purple Dog Bush Flower?
Has anyone ever heard of this flower? Maybe Purple Poodle flower, with the odd name I'm waiting for someone to laugh at me.. . . . .

I went for a short little backpacking trip this weekend with Mike Bohlander and our significant others in Northern Ventura County. I came across these nice little almost lupine like bush type of flowers I'm curious if anyone knows what they are? Mike said the visitor center had pictures up of a purple dog bush flower that poisonous like poison oak. I touched them but didn't get a rash but Christina has one on the back of her neck! I'm thinking I passed it on somehow with out getting it.

Steve, looks to me like a sage of some kind. Perhaps one of these? http://www.laspilitas.com/garden/sages.htm

Steve, very colorful. I'm like you, not always sure what it is, but it sure looks good. Best Regards.
