Sorry but its another fox.One from yesterday .
She didn't stay long and isn't lately due to disturbance and new found 'friends' from afar .

thanking you again in advance .
For me this is the best by far and just about spot on with the amount of mush a the bottom.
Great light and detail on the fox and a very nice setting, love it.
Thats another beauty, love the low stare, really looks like she's on the prowl. I agree with Guy, just the right amount of mush and the dappled light on the face is very nice.
Hi Mark, definately the best yet. the light is amazing, and the eyes are incredible.
Interesting to see How the Nikon D3 is pushing the limits of photography with amazing pictures at ISO1000+. the only thing i would probably do, is noise ninja, or use PS to smooth out the background slighty as you can see slight graduations in colour.
Mush well under control, great light falling on the subject. POV and eye contact are excellent.
I am not sure if you have darkened the BKGR, either way, the BKGR is brightest around the edge of the fox above the tail. I would darken that area a touch if it were mine.
Hi Mark,
only the shot you called Basil brush cames close to the tense facial expression she shows here.
but all previous shots are topped by the sweet light here in this.
Congrats to this beautiful series

You're drip feeding these images through Mark and they just keep getting better.
As said above, this is the best of a series of shots that I have enjoyed looking at - you've put together a great project and got some very good results
Spot on Mark. Love it and I too think this is the best of the bunch, although I still wouldnt mind any of your others in my portfolio! Great work and this image proves that patience and planning is definately how to get top drawer images. Looking forward to seeing more.
Very special Mark and just reward for putting in the effort. A great shot of your own wild animal is worth ten from the circuit I think. They have been getting steadily better imo and that's a great compliment to you as a photographer. eric
Just wonderful! The light on the face is exquisite. I'd like to see a crop of this with the fox nearly tight on the right side of the frame - would look really dramatic.
Thank you all for the most kind words and encouragement . Thanks most of all to those that have offered such sensible crtitique and advice . She and the two reynards will be left now until Autumn when I hope to return to them and the two youngsters . The last week has provided diminishing returns .The youngsters have become more independant and consequently her search for tit bits has become less and less .
Charlie ''my fox'' who visits me everyday at home will be continued to be fed and I hope this year he gets lucky again .
This is one of my fav's that I've seen from your series Mark, a great shot with lovely tones from the dark greens to her gorgeous coating, and just the right balance of 'mush'.

this is the best one so far, the Mush police are not needed
The lighting is beautiful and a cracking pose from the old girl.
I am quite happy with the background as is
