Finally got a chance to get out and shoot last weekend, decided on the Ladybug Trail in Sequoia National Park. Sorry, haven't been around much...life has been a bit crazy lately.

Great sense of mystery of the trail coming from the dark heading to the light and the sweet bright greens. Very well done.

Very mystical feel about this. I like the way that you've composed
the overhanging branch and the placement of the tree back right. It
gives depth to the image.

Michael.
I really like the composition of this image. Its a little dark, but as Harley said, it really has great mystery. Best Regards.

Michael,

Definitely has a mystical, dreamy look to this. You didn't mention any processing - a bit of Orton or diffused blur/glow layer? Works for me! I could even enjoy this more at a bit larger size.

Thanks Robert, Michael and Lon!

Lon, I backed off the clarity to about -50 and added a little bit of vignetting in Lightroom to enhance the moodiness/mystique.

Micheal, it sure looks like a nice place be before it gets way too hot out here. I'd love to walk down that trail.

Michael, this truly gives the feeling of calmness and at the same time a need to get out there and take it all in. A wonderful scene.
