Brown Hare Portrait
I was watching a group of hares hoping to see some action, but it never happened. The group split up and this one came down towards me, stopping about 10 feet away.

Canon 50D, canon 500mm f4, f5, 1/800 sec ISO 320

A fine portrait, a tad overexposed, also would be better in sRGB for web viewing (I think but maybe out of date on this).
Tell me Ron what aftershave do you wear? When they see me they sprint away right over the horizon.

Hi Ron ,a Very Nice portriat, nice and sharp and cracking details, those are some ears. !!
Exposure looks good to me, .

Just needs a tad more saturation, Vibrance, Levels. to give the image that final Pop.

Great portrait. Already been said about being overexposed and needs a little punch to the saturation. Great detail. Wish i could get this close to them! :toast:

Ron, I need some of your luck . The close proximity has certainly paid off with bags of detail in the fur and the eye.
I viewed this in Internet explorer at first and it does appear overexposed but viewing it again in Firefox the exposure looks spot on. This might be due to the colour space used as Internet Explorer does not colour manage. The vibrance and levels have already been covered.

If it had been mine I might have upped the ISO to 400 and gone for F8 to try and get both the ears sharp.

Great close-up Ron could do with the background toning down a tad and a bit more saturation.

Indeed a fine image with some of the tweaks suggested I think. I would be thrilled to get one at 10 yards, much less 10 feet !!

I love big close-ups Ron and this is a beauty. I would reduce the exposure a bit, as it is a little washed out. Poor old lad has a weepy eye :frown:
Well done for grabbing your chance.

What a sad soul! Looks to me also to need a bit of a boost or drop in exposure, but an image that is well worth the effort.

Nit covered re colour boost but a cracking close-up portrait Ron. I have still not managed to see any let alone get a photograph of one (even distant).
