I've never looked for birds in a rape field - this convinces me to do so! Love the colours and the eye. Because he is looking so intently at the left side of the frame, I'd be tempted to crop a little from the right (and a smidgeon from the bottom for balance)

Again I find myself agreeing with Ian re the crop. A good image of the subject but I find the rape a little too fussy. :wavey:

Beautiful picture. Love the colours and detail and I think the central sharp eye works for me with just enough space on the left.

Ian you have a good point about these birds in Rape fields i recon in my part of Linclonshire with it's very intensive farming insects are a bit rare, case in point i have just had a couple of days in Teesdale and came back with a windscreen covered in dead insects never have that at home.Getting back to the point maybe these Rape fields are a bit of a magnate for insect feedind birds they do seem to attract yellow wagtails.
I have a lot of shots of birds with yellow bg ect will try not to over do it.
Thanks for looking.

Cheers Keith.

I agree with Ian's crop too but it's still a really lovely image.
