Redshanks but different
Not sure if this works but I quite like it. Love to hear what you guys think.

The rusty water is fantastic! Because the top two birds are soft, I prefer it with them cropped. The image stands up well with the one remaining bird. Alternatively, I would like to see a version with only the top birds (in focus). Amazing to have achieved this handheld with those figures!

Hi Edwin. Think I agree with Ian on this one. I would prefer just the lower bird that is in focus. Different and all the nicer for it. :wavey: :toast:

Hi Edwin :wavey:

Personally I like this a lot. All 3 Redshanks look great to me especially where you have captured some movement or are they off to the pub.

The softness of the two, I think gives a sense of atmosphere rather than having them rock solid in the back ground, I do like the water trail they have left behind & of course all 3 silhouettes & colour of water.

Brilliant as always :toast: :toast:

Hope all is well

I would keep the top two birds, although it is still a strong image if you just went for the single one in sharp focus The whole picture has a great feeling of movement :toast:

Hi Edwin,

I like the shot the colours and the two out of focus birds but I think you could lose a bit of foreground and still have a striking picture

Love the colours and simplicity. Inclusion of top two birds I think adds to picture but agree with Ian that balance of picture may be improved with less foreground and more background (if feasible). An excellent picture nonetheless.

Nits covered, love your usual background colour scheme :toast:

Another vote to lose the top two Edwin.

The waters surface, colour and strong silhouette make this image for me.

Excellent and well recorded.

Cheers

With a tad more room at the top I would have said keep the two birds but they are just a bit tight to the edge for me. The single bird would look great in a more panoramic crop though :wavey:

Yes the single bird for me too, but still a very atmospheric image anyway.

Hello Edwin.

As the image stands I think it would have worked better with just the one bird as I find the other two to close to the top.

But saying that I think this would have worked alot better if the composition was the other way round , with the single bird on the lower left third nd the extra space on the top instead of the bottom.

Just a thought and it might not work.
