For those of you that are missing out because of the weather this weekend. Here's an "after hours" shot from last December.
35mm, f/22, 25seconds, ISO 100

Brian, is this the arch you were thinking of?

That's a nice composition Bill. I took one through the arch , but it did not turn out well. I like this one much better.

Have you posted any pictures from the Fossil Forest?

Thanks, Momo.

No I haven't posted anything from the fossil forest yet.
Had a 300 GIG hard drive crash while trying to back it up. I didn't lose any RAW files, but I did lose all the editing that I had done over Christmas - including Yellowstone and Bosque del Apache. So, I'm still recovering.

Ouch, that sounds very frustrating. What brand was the hard disc?

Oh yeah, it would also be nice to see some winter scenes from Yellowstone.

Yes, this is the arch I'm thinking of here. Nice shot!

Momo,
I was copying from a full 300 GIG Maxtor external (~8 months old) to an identical new 300 GIG Maxtor - through USB 2 ports.
Somehow the file directoriy was corrupted during the read
The drive was physically OK and works fine (so far) after a reformat.
Unfortunately none of the disk recovery software could restore any of the files.
Since I didn't lose any original data, there was no need to pay $$$$$ for a disk recovery service.
It definitely paid to have DVD backups. Only took a full day to copy them all onto the new drive. :frown:
I'm looking forward to the new higher capacity DVD standards. 50 GIG backup disks would be much more manageable.
