Broad-banded Water Snake
I photographed this cooperative Broad-banded Water Snake (non-poisonous) during this morning's walk. The protruding tongue is a plus I think. On some individuals, the reddish lines on the snake's lower jaw are even more vivid red.

Nikon DSLR, 300mm f4+1.4X Nikon teleconverter, SB-900 flash as main light, -2/3 ambient light, and Gitzo tripod

that's nice - excellent detail and fantastic handling of the flash and ambient.

Very nice Charles. I can even see the reflection of the sky in its eye. The colors are rich without appearing over-saturated. Thanks for sharing.
