Here is another reflection image from a recent outing. I posted a similar one last month where the water surface was a lot lighter. Having processed this one I much prefer the darker water surface .
I would appreciate peoples thoughts and experiences on how reflections should be treated regarding post processing.
Do you attempt to sharpen the reflection to enhance its presence ?
Do you apply noise reduction to the reflected area ?
I normally selectively sharpen the subject and noise reduce the rest, but with a strong shadow I am not so sure.
I think it needs a very slight clockwise rotation as the grebe appears to be swimming uphill. As for the reflection, personally I like it exactly as it is.
Superb! I love the dark water and wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't normally sharpen a reflection or use noise reduction on it. Each one is different though!

As I tend to sharpen the whole image and I don't have any noise ninja/neat image type software,I'm not much use to you,am I?

A superb image.
I normally selectively sharpen generally but it does depend on the image being viewed.
Some neat image noise reduction does help in the darker areas sometimes.

A bit of rotation would help to stop it swimming up hill

Lovely image with some great colours in this which work beautifully together.
