As you say very colourful, but I can't agree about the smell.  It would be nice to see a stitched pano of the whole scene.

a lovely image with a great splash of yellow

Only thing I don't like is the smell. The picture is fine though. I might have placed the tree just a tad to the right to put it exactly on a third, but no big deal.

a ship on a sea of yellow. Great picture.

Simple effective and extremely well spotted .
Tiny bit of yellow far right in the cloud ?Plus the clouds appear to be following the contour of the land ?Warp or Liquify?

Tim, this has a really nice feel to it; as Mark says, well spotted.
While it is a good image as it stands, if you had a chance to return on a day when it was just blue sky, the contrast with the yellow would make for a really eye catching shot. Also, there is another image in what you've already captured; if you crop to pano, taking almost all the blue sky out, the result really emphasizes that lovely curve in the landscape. It also tidies up the sky, which for me needs to either be about cloud or blue sky (but that is just personal preference).

Cheers,
Chris

Very well seen Tim,

Extremely effective and in todays green / environmentally aware world, quite marketable I would say.

Cheers

Spot-on Tim, that tree is perfectly placed to balance the cloud shape in the upper right 3rd(ish), great colour and complimentary shapes in the image too, very nice indeed.

i like the image, but as mark pointed out, the clouds follow the contour, so it looks like the image has been extensively photoshopped to created the shape of the landscape. I dont mind as i said i like the image a lot, but it would be cool to put this in the description/techs.

just my thoughts.

Hello Tim.

Well seen and captured and like the composition very much, I think the clouds in this have worked really well and balance with the lower part perfectly.
