I need some help with my 7D.
There's a setting in Camera custom functions (C.fn IV-1), where in after assigning the * AE lock button, you can swap between 'One shot focus and Al servo'by simply pressing AE lock and shutter button. I have not been able to do it, when I try both the button do same kind of focussing, either One shot or servo.
Kindly explain it in detail, so that I'm able to do it.

This can be set to either AE lock or the AF on button. I prefer the AF on button. The way it works is that you keep your camera in AI Servo focus mode all the time. Then to activate AF you press the button that you selected on the back of the camera. If you press and hold the camera is continually focusing. If you press and release the camera will acquire AF and then stop focusing - effectively acting like "one shot".
This takes a bit of getting used to. However once it becomes a habit it is great.
