I spent yesterday witn fellow NPNers Bob Karcz and Dave Bartlett in Summit County. We saw eagles, egrets, fox and other wildlife. Bob knew about a den with 8-kits. (I swore not to divulge the location.) Momma fox came by but she didn't get the little guys out to play the way our other momma did. This little guy was checking us out from the den hole.

Bob lives on the Blue River north of Silverthorne. There are lots of barrel cactus appearing right there on his property next to the river.
Fun shot Rod! I might crop off a little more from the bottom of the first image but I really like it. The second one is terrific. I like the inclusion of the cactus spikes as it helps give it its setting.

Thanks Erik for the kind comments. Please indulge me with a little test here. The images in this posting are ProPhoto Profile. The one with this reply is sRGB. I tested the sRGB profile in an E-mail to myself and the ProPhoto looked better. Yet, when I posted the fox kit and the cactus to the NPN Forum, the colors on both were way off and nowhere near as good as what I saved. Let's see how this looks and thanks for humoring me.
These are nice! I really like the first one. I would *always* save photos for the web with sRGB. ProPhoto might look better with some photos on your monitor, but it will look much worse on most monitors, whose color space is much closer to sRGB than ProPhoto (and I'm guessing if you view it in a browser that is not color managed, sRGB will look better on yours as well). It looks like the third image you posted was also in ProPhoto, which is why it looks the same .
