Geary County Lake Falls
Went out waterfall hunting tonight and I finally caught a big one! This set of falls is only about 20 miles from me and I had no idea it was there. Found out about it from an old high school teacher on Facebook (the power of social media!). It was amazing. I would guess around 30-35' high maybe (but I'm terrible at that stuff).

This is a 2 shot stitch.

I've got more shots up on my blog:

Well, Kansas has waterfalls, too...

I this on private or public property?

I might want to take a drive if photos are possible.

The horizontal layers in contrast with the verical falls, both in color and line, make the photo.

Great capture as usual for you.

Thanks Larry! This is public property. Just go to the Geary County State Fishing lake (8 miles south of Junction City on Highway 77). The dam is on the north end, just park there and walk across the dam, there is a trail leading across the dam and down to the falls. There is a steep trail leading to the base of the falls, but also an easier longer one that takes you a bit down stream of the falls. That is the one I used, the steep one, looked to steep for me with my camera gear.

nice find, Scott. You should see the falls at Chase County Lake. I went through there on Friday and was impressed how high the water was running.
