Just trees. I found the scene quite enchanting with subtle beauty. The brilliant red bark, green needles and a light dusting of snow - captured in Oregon's Ochoco range. Canon 5D, 70-200.

Damn you Marc! Are you a fly on the wall? Mark and I have talked a couple of times about getting out there and I've been really itching to get this shot for the last 6 weeks. I actually planned to hit a similar stand this weekend, but my D2x isn't gonna be back home till Tuesday.
This is beautiful!
Marc,
I too like this. I was thinking(thats a dangerous thing I know) about cropping about an inch off the bottom. What do you think? If you go to rosswordhouse.com, you will see a shot similiar too this that I'm also after. Its called Interwoven Friendships.

This is a nice/difficult shot, Marc. I don't think you can crop the very bottom of the image - that really grounds it for me. I wish the tree placement wasn't so busy but these are very difficult shots to find in the first place. Nice one....

I took more simple compositions, but also wanted to capture the complexities of the forest. No doubt there were better shots still around the forest had I spent more time there. It was my girlfriend's first time on snowshoes and we weren't going too far as it started to snow quite heavily.
VERY nice Marc!! I'm wondering if you could bump the contrast a touch and try to bring out the greens a bit more by using "Selective Color" as an adjustment layer.
The composition is very well seen and captured!! I really like this one Marc!!

This is very well done. The conditions are wonderful, and I really like the crop and detail.
