One of my target species whilst on Majorca, this is a sub-species of Marmora's Warbler the stunning Balearic Warbler ( Sylvia sarda balearica ) and posed really well for me !!

certainly a nice bird to photograph and a lovely sharp shot against an attractive blue sky. My only nit would be the low vantage point, but I realise that often can't be helped.

stunning looking bird,a sharp shot with great colour, would agree about the viewpoint though

I like the POV as its away from the normal ones we see. Quite like the pose and a different perch from the standard ones we normally see in gardens, striking BG, but for me the bird is/looks a bit over sharpened?

BTW Michael, please can you add the EXIF data & if this is cropped as it does help the readers.

Great looking bird - especially that eye! Agree it would be good if you added the techs etc.

Yes, I would like to at least see the basic exposure information as well. This is a lovely shot, I think I would like a smidgin more canvas at the bottom, but no big deal.

I agree about the POV but thats all the bird was prepared to give me ...

Exif as follows:

Canon 30D ~ Canon 400L F5.6 ~ 1/1000 ~ 6.7 ~ iso400 ~ ec+1/2

And this is a cropped image..

Thanks for the comments
