Early Morning Fog in Leidig Meadow
This is from my trip over Mother's Day weekend.

Unlike my recent posts, which were B&W film, this is a chrome conversion. I used both films in this meadow, but the B&W negs were a little too flat to use. The higher contrast of Velvia worked in my favor.

I need to use a yellow filter in B&W more often. I am still learning B&W.

Critiques and comments are most welcome.

Chamonix 4x5
Fujinon 240mm
Velvia 50

This is real nice, Harley. I love the atmosphere and the fog coming in and out of the trees. I would go for a 4x5 crop, and lop off the left side.

Harley,
Nice conversion. I really like the middle grays you got on the face of Half Dome and the fog just sets the scene so nicely. My only nit would be to just darken the sky just a touch. I'll bet the chrom on this must be absolutely beautiful. Well done and best regards.

Harley, one of my first trips to the valley was during this type of weather years ago as a kid. This struck a real cord with me from those days. I can truly feel the mist from this light fog just from viewing your converted B&W rendition from that local.

So you went with the higher contrast of your color positive over the negatives. I do like the darker trees and bright fog.
