Pelicans
I took advantage of finally having a calm and sunny morning and returned to the scene of the accident with my newly fixed 500mm and Mark IV (just got the camera back yesterday and the lens a few days ago). BTW, the accident was at Chatfield when I was trying to photograph some Pelicans. I felt like I still needed to complete that task and get those shots. So off I went. Here are a couple, hope you like.

Wow. I've never seen that angle (#2) on a pelican's mouth. Very interesting!

Both awesome shots. Really like the reflection in the first one.

I like the artistic effect going on in #1. The reflections are very nice. The pose in #2 is really cool. Your timing was perfect.

Both of these are excellent! I also have never seen anything like #2.
Again, I think that a levels adjustment (of the white point) would be a slight improvement on both.

Re: #1: I think that 'losing' the dark spot on its head and the protrusion above the bird's bill would be an asset, but understand that those fixes aren't everyone's cuppa tea.
