Painted Hills
A few pictures from the Painted Hills. The first zoomed into an area with spring flowers.

Kathryn - Looks like you had a productive trip to the PH and caught them in some great light! Since your images follows closely on my ONDA Wild Desert Calendar posting. I just thought I would point out that Sutton Mountain is the big rim in the background of your 4th shot. It is on our list of target sites for photography if you out that way again. Really a gem in the rough and seldom photographed. A few short hikes gets one into remote canyons, more PH type formations with great access (no fences), secret waterfalls and lush riparian zones. Excellent backpacking potential also. There is a BLM kiosk/access info as you drive down the road to PH from the hwy to John Day/Mitchell.

All beautiful landscapes Kathryn. I especially like the second. Very well composed and the colors are great. Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking work, Kathryn. I am partial to the first one since I like closeups of the hills. Congratulations on a successful photo shoot.
